Mountadam Vineyards

2017 Mountadam Eden Valley Shiraz

Winemakers Notes

The wine has a vibrant red colour on release.  It has blue fruits, spice, cedar characters on the nose.  The palate has blueberry and dense blackberry flavours with an underlying licorice root character.  The wine has an underlying spiciness and supple long tannins.

Wine Profile

'A fascinating trio of shiraz, here. This is the finest, given the quality and different shades of all three. Bridling the joyous drinkability of the Fifty-Five (sans the excess of The Patriarch) with more resonance of flavour, complexity and finish. Again, the clench of reduction provides just enough tension. Nothing too hard. Think purple flowers, black olive and blueberry pastille flowing across a waft of mid-weighted tannins, impeccably appointed.' Ned Goodwin MW - James Halliday Wine Companion Published 01 August 2019
