Full ripeness and generous new oak make for a powerful Mountadam that loses something of the detail of this fabled high site in the wake of such proportions. Spicy, ripe blueberry, blackberry and black plum fruit with notes of prunes, warmed by full alcohol, structured by the firm, fine grip of classy new French oak. Give it time to come together.
