Situated on a unique rocky outcrop the estate commands an easterly aspect over Eden Valley. Mountadam Vineyards High Eden series is the selection of the best parcels of fruit from the Estate. All fruit used to craft this single vineyard wine is grown on the estate.

Established in 1972, Mountadam High Eden Estate is one of Australia’s oldest cool climate Chardonnay vineyards. Situated on a unique rocky outcrop the estate commands an easterly aspect over Eden Valley. Mountadam Vineyards High Eden series is the selection of the best parcels of fruit from the Estate. All fruit used to craft this single vineyard wine is grown on the estate.
The fruit was harvested on the 13th and 22nd of March during the cool of the night with a selective destemming harvester. As has been tradition with the High Eden Estate Chardonnay, the fruit was sourced mainly from the Estates Western High Eden Block 69 (93%) with 7% from Block 3. Block 69 consists of plantings 37-year-old plantings sitting at an elevation of 550m above sea level.
The juice was barrel fermented in new and 1-4 year old French oak barriques, hogsheads and puncheons through to dryness. The wine went through regular lees stirring throughout maturation in 60% new and 1-4 year old French oak. Only the best individual barrels were selected to make up this blend.
