Crafted from Riesling vines planted in 1968, on Mountadam’s western vineyard, this Riesling expresses lifted floral aromas. It has clean, crisp citrus flavours and delicate minerality.

High Eden-sourced riesling from Mountadam's 1968 to 1974-planted vineyard. Classic Eden Valley aromas of freshly squeezed lime juice, Bickford's lime cordial and Christmas lilies with hints of crushed quartz, orange blossom and the merest whiff of freshly cut fennel. Crisp and dry with a sizzling minerally acid driveline, great velocity and clarity. Another fine example of the value that Australian riesling represents.

The Riesling on the Western Mountadam High Eden vineyard was planted in 1968 and 1974. All fruit used to craft this wine was sourced from the 1968 plantings of Riesling. This particular vineyard sourced Leo Buring Leonay over the last 40 years and was reunited with the eastern side of Mountadam in 2015 when the Brown family made the purchase. The vineyards sit at 550m above sea level with a sheltered southerly aspect.
Harvested using a selective destemming harvester on the 28th March 2023 from a single block on the Estates Western vineyard, Block 59. Tipped directly into the press and treated reductively in the winery with only free run juice with an extraction rate of 550L/T. Cold settled, clear juice was racked clean into stainless steel for cool fermentation. Fermented through to dryness.
